Holiday Party 2009

The Twenty Club Holiday Party will be held on Saturday, Dec 12. We
will open to setup for the meal at 12 noon and we plan to serve at
about 1 pm. This is the regular meeting date, but the party will be
our only agenda. This is a great time and a wonderful
opportunity to see people we haven't seen in a while. Please consider
coming.

The meal is structured as usual. We provide the Turkey, gravy and
stuffing along with plates, etc. Everyone else contributes by
bringing something to share. This works best if everyone brings
something different. We ask that you RSVP for this. Use the club email address: twentyclub@gmail.com. Please include your name and any guest you might bring and the dish(s) you will contribute. If you decide to come at the last
minute please do! Just bring something! Suggestions: Potato dish, vegetable dish, salad of some sort, desert (always popular.) Please bring your own drinks if you
want something other than coffee.

See you there!

Twenty Club Picnic 2009

Our annual picnic will be Saturday July 25, 2009 (12:00 noon to ???). It is held at Stratton Brook State Park in Simsbury, CT. We begin to assemble at noon, at or near the Picnic Shelter. The club provides Hamburgers and Hot Dogs with rolls, condiments, paper plates and plastic wear. We also provide Charcoal for grilling. We ask everyone to bring something to share (baked beans, potato chips, salads, etc.) and their own drinks. If the weather is agreeable there is the opportunity to swim in the near-by pond. Officially, the State claims to be collecting parking fees, but in recent years no one had been there to collect. There is no guarantee on this situation this year. You may want to bring your own comfortable folding chair.

The day is always a pleasant change of pace and an opportunity for casual conversation. Place this event on your calendar now!
