We are the parents of a 29-year-old male-to-female transsexual. When our child came out to us six years ago, we found that there was very little support for us in print, so, we are writing a book with the working title Now What? Parents of Transgender Children that examines the challenges, concerns and triumphs of parents of gender-variant children. The book will be structured around specific issues that we all face rather than as a series of case studies.
We send this email to invite parents of gender-variant children of any age to participate in our research. If you are willing to complete an anonymous ten-minute on-line survey regarding the support, concerns and challenges that you have faced as the parent of a gender-variant child, please contact us. You will be provided a link and password to complete the survey.
All questions on the survey will be voluntary. When you complete the survey, you will be offered the opportunity to participate further if you wish.
