Announcement -- Picnic Date Change

We have rarely ever changed the date of the Picnic, but due to the dangerous heat in the current heat wave it has been decided to postpone the Annual Picnic. I know this will be difficult for some but the current heat is dangerous for some of our membership, including me (I just had surgery.)

The new date is below.

Shelly

The Annual Picnic is NOW Sat Aug. 13th at Stratton Brook State Park. We will meet starting at 12 Noon and go as late as you want. Check below.
=================================================================
Twenty Club Picnic

The annual picnic is held at Stratton Brook State Park in Simsbury, CT. We
begin to assemble at noon at or near the Picnic Shelter. The club provides
Hamburgers and Hot Dogs with rolls, condiments, paper plates and plastic wear.
We also provide Charcoal for barbeque. We ask everyone to bring something to
share (baked beans, potato chips, salads, etc.) and their own drinks. If the
weather is agreeable there is the opportunity to swim in the near-by pond.
Officially, the State claims to be collecting parking fees ($9.00 per CT
registered Vehicle), but in some recent years no one has been there to collect.
There is no guarantee on this situation this year, come prepared! You may want
to bring your own comfortable folding chair.

The day is always a pleasant change of pace and an opportunity for casual
conversation. Place this event on your calendar now!
