There is no guarantee on this situation this year. You may want to bring your own comfortable folding chair.

The day is always a pleasant change of pace and an opportunity for casual conversation. The professor is a parent of a Trans child himself. If you or anyone you know are a parent of a Transgender child please contact me through the Blog's email twentyclub@gmail.com. I am excerpting some of the invitation for the survey.
Shelly

We are the parents of a 29-year-old male-to-female transsexual. When our child came out to us six years ago, we found that there was very little support for us in print, so, we are writing a book with the working title Now What? Parents of Transgender Children that examines the challenges, concerns and triumphs of parents of gender-variant children. The book will be structured around specific issues that we all face rather than as a series of case studies.
We send this email to invite parents of gender-variant children of any age to participate in our research. If you are willing to complete an anonymous ten-minute on-line survey regarding the support, concerns and challenges that you have faced as the parent of a gender-variant child, please contact us. You will be provided a link and password to complete the survey.
All questions on the survey will be voluntary. When you complete the survey, you will be offered the opportunity to participate further if you wish.
If you know of someone who has a gender-variant child, please forward this information
to them.
Thank you,

Twenty Club Picnic

Our annual picnic will be Saturday July 26, 2008 (12:00 noon to ???). It is held at Stratton Brook State Park in Simsbury, CT. We begin to assemble at noon, at or near the Picnic Shelter. The club provides Hamburgers and Hot Dogs with rolls, condiments, paper plates and plastic wear. We also provide Charcoal for grilling. We ask everyone to bring something to share (baked beans, potato chips, salads, etc.) and their own drinks. If the weather is agreeable there is the opportunity to swim in the near-by pond. Officially, the State claims to be collecting parking fees, but in recent years no one had been there to collect. There is no guarantee on this situation this year. You may want to bring your own comfortable folding chair.

The day is always a pleasant change of pace and an opportunity for casual conversation. Place this event on your calendar now!

Directions:

From the south and east: take I-91 north, Exit 36 (Route 178).
